HOLMES BEACH, FLORIDA - BEACH TRAVELER INFORMATION
Holmes Beach is a part of Anna Maria Island in Manatee county it is the largest of the three cities of Anna Maria Island and lies in the centre with Ana Maria on the north and Bradenton on the South. It offers three miles of beaches with sugar white sand and turquoise shimmering water. The Intercoastal can be accessed very easily through Holmes Beach. The Coquina beach at the southern tip of the Island boasts of some of the most tranquil beaches in the area with a spectacular view of the sunset. A secluded romantic getaway is the Bean Point where the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay come together, with beautiful beaches that are perfect for shelling. If you are willing to drive for a short distance you can go to the Sarasota Jungle Garden or the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens at Sarasota which abounds in natural glory and have the widest and the most varied collection of the local flora. Cortez Beach is another beautiful spot to spend time building sand castle or just lazing in the sun.

The Beach Bistro is the local favorite the food is good but the over all dining experience at the beach is spectacular
