Tiger Tail Beach has a large parking lot with several ramps to the sand. The
main entrance is where the restaurant is located with tables, restrooms, wildlife
info, etc. If you prefer to be closer to the wavier part of the Gulf, park as far
down as you can and take one of the last ramps to the beach. The "tiger tail" is
a naturally protected part of the beach and the water is very calm, warmer and
not like the other parts (no waves, etc.). You can walk out through the
protected part to the "rougher" Gulf waters (just put your stuff on your head
and walk over).
