Key West

There’s nothing garden variety about Key West. Rules are set adrift here. Artists, street performers, sidewalk cafes, funky saloons and historic B&Bs take center stage. While jugglers, fire-eaters, mimes and acrobatic cats entertain revelers each evening during the sunset celebration at Mallory Square. Take a stroll through Old Town is literally a journey back in time. Gingerbread mansions cozy up to tin-roofed conch houses. Porch swings sway gently in the breeze. John Audubon House is here, as is Hemingway’s home. Anglers and divers consider Key West nirvana, her crystal-clear waters holding untold bounty.
