Hurricane /Tropical Storm Ida can’t seem to make up its mind but whether it reforms as a strong storm or remains a weak formation – Florida Gulf Coast Travelers should keep an eye on her – particularly in the panhandle.
The national weather service is now saying she will skirt the coast along the Alabama Florida border and will cut up past several of our beach locations in Alligator Point, Mexico Beach and St George Island before heading inland around Tallahassee.
Expect poor weather along most of the Central and Northern Gulf Coast Beaches – although this is the kind of weather system that can stir up surfable waves as far south as the Tampa Beaches.
